If you're getting stomped there's a problem on your end and most likely your team...........but no one likes being told they're bad or that they should try and improve. For some people myself included we'll never be the big guys of PvP and that's okay. That said I also am painfully aware how piss poor the match making is. If you manually quit PvP matches however you only open the gate for someone else to join halfway through to deal with the bad match you got a sore ego over. You all talk about being considered but you'll -blam!- over other people and then not care about it. It's dripping with Irony.

  • I don't think people should be forced to improve if its not their prerogative, especially when the mmr in this game is as aggressive as it is. If people are getting frustrated with their experience in a casual game mode, they shouldn't have to stick it out. That's the entire point of casual, its not supposed to be a commitment. Alongside this, I think that Bungie should make backfill an opt in thing for this reason, no one should have to be subjected to being backfilled onto a losing team.

  • "I don't think people should be forced to improve if its not their prerogative." Nothing is forcing them to. But PvP isn't PvE. PvP by it's nature requires a need to improve. The other people in there aren't going to play on your terms or how you want them to. Improving is par for the course. If you don't you get frustrated (as I have from time to time but I jump out when my match is done). People keep calling it a casual game......but we don't see that in the picture.

  • They technically don't have to improve because the game is what you make of it. Meaning that if people wanna sweat or chill, they can but they have to go in there with the preconceived notions of "If I am using a more casual loadout, I may run into more meta things." From there they can either chose to adapt and get better because they enjoy it or play what's required to get the pinnacle and dip or even less if they wanna leave midway through. Its a casual game mode if you look at it from the perspective of "this is a game and people can play it however they want." Of course I think there's things wrong with PVP that make it feel awful to play for people just trying to hop in, and that's why I think people should be able to leave the game if they're not having a good time.
