Is it possible that a app called parsec is the reason i got banned. I recently just learned of the app because i wanted to play emulators like psx2 with friends but i never used it with destiny or any other game i only had the app for like 3 days. I really hope this is not the reason cause if it is had i known just having app would do this i would have never gotten it.

I just looked up parsec and read some stuff about it, it has a SDK kit and can encode and decode stuff, maybe the app tried connecting with D2, or did you try streaming D2 on Linux or Android or anything using the app? Those things sounds like it could get you banned, but im no expert.

I didnt try streaming it at all on my pc what i found out was a buddy of mine was connected to my pc the day i got banned i guess making bungie think i was cheating or manipulating the game resulting it my ban had i known that was the risk of using that app i would have never gotten it. 400 hrs gone never to return thank you guys for all your answers my destiny journey is over. Theres no way i can see myself getting my account back

The friend connected through parsec with your desktop, did he try to launch D2? That could be seen as a recovery maybe?

I dont think so he doesnt play destiny he was just comnected to my pc but i was still in full control.

I put 2 appeals in but still havent heard from bungie yet . Not sure if im account or ip banned

These are for cheating and may include any of the following. Having cheat programs for a game open also includes trainers. Macros trying to avoid AFK detection. Programming tools that inject code. Any form of network accelerator for manipulating a network, win trading, ghost lobbies, and account recoveries is just some of the more common.

A reply (if any) can take a couple of days. I'd say if you havent heard anything for a week de appeal was denied. About the type of ban they give i have no clue sorry.
