I use ARs most of the time and really like them except for Tommy's Matchbook and Sorrow's Verse. Big let down from a AR users POV, and losing health while firing does not help defending the team, regardless of the damage output.
Another bright idea, but not for me. It's IMO another useless Exotic.

Tommy’s is deadly in the right hands. Just do what I did for a while: -max resilience, icefall mantles, and Tommy’s. Pop the overshield and shred your opponents. Alternatively: -max recovery, precious scars, solar subclass (probably bottom tree for a chance to regen health), and Tommy’s. Get healed for every kill Or you can try what I just thought of: -path of burning steps, bottom tree sunbreaker, Tommy’s. Get the damage bonus from steps and then destroy everything.

Thank you for the build advice Guardian! I don't have the Path of Burning Steps but I do use Hallow Fire Heart...A LOT. Great tip....now I just have to get over the annoying sound of the thing...🤣🤣🤣🤣

Edited by Alpha277: 1/19/2022 4:16:20 PMI’m with you on hallowfire. It’s the greatest neutral exotic for the best subclass imo. Another useful tip is to pre-fire it, kind of like a fusion. Also, you wanna be hip firing it at all times.
