What does Bungie gain from making armor unsymmetrical, they always got like a shoulder pad enormous for the titan or the mark either covering left, right, or front and back. Few full ones. It just bugs me how one side of my armor looks good but the other side is sometimes absurd

Asymmetry can look awesome if done right. Look at a set like the Chroma Superior Hunter armor from D1 or the few D1 sets that carried over into D2. Their asymmetry is subtle enough to not be blatantly obvious, but noticeable enough to make the armor look cool and unique. It’s also properly balanced. Compare the Chroma Superior armor I showed to the Iron Will armor for the Hunter. Like why is everything covered in thick metal plating except for the one arm?
