500 is more than enough , you won't have to keep 4 sets of each armor now , and you don't need 10 rolls of the same weapon
When my vault gets to 450 I clean it out
Plus more vault space equals more memory ,and last gen consoles are already at there limit

Bungie has to right now, last gen consoles make up the majority of the player base -
Having 4 different rolls on one exotic allows you to make builds without completely obliterating your stats. We have 4 elemental / arch types. We have mods which work with each one to server their own purpose... Then we have legendaries to accompany them to assist with those stat distributions. If you are constantly playing with different builds depending on the meta and activity, you are bound to have well over 150 gear items in your vault because we cannot "acquire" those rolls again. Then we look at weapons. Well yeah everybody knows about this. If you look at this mathematically based on hear options, exotic options and weapon options, you will realise that a vault space of 1000 would even be insufficient for people who are "build masters".

They are making swapping elements dirt cheap , removing the need for 4 versions of each armor piece. And you don't need 8 rolls of one weapon 500 is plenty now,and you should have more room after you delete that unnecessary armor after witch queen -
no 40k glimmer is not dirt cheap when you only have 250k limit and not like you can use 1 piece of armor with many different bulids cause of stats distribution even if you can imagine having to swap elements 3 time a day between pvp and pve yea it gonna be very expensive very quick not to mention guns and their roll ( still hope they gonna do something in witch queen)

If "play your way" was anything other than bovine excrement, we would not need a heap of vault space. Remember that one time when Bethesda, CDPR, Microsoft, etc dictated exactly what weapons would work, and then changed it frequently? Of course not.

They change it frequently to keep things fresh, people get bored of using the same 3 weapons And that still doesn't justify needing more vault space ,I have several types of each weapon,plus exotic sparrows and ghosts and a crap to of sunset weapons I can't part with and I am a little over 400 -
i only play 1 character and my vault is almost full

How do you know if you will want to use it later when bungie does stupid changes like nerfing vorpal n buffing firing line with no warning lol.
