Remember there is another human being on the other side of those pixels…
…and remember what is going on out there in the world right now.
We are in the middle of a once-a-century public health emergency that is about to enter its third year. We are in a global economic slowdown that about to enter its third year. In many parts of the world political unrest is building as well. As these crises are stressing people and stressing political and cultural fault lines. Many people are struggling with the loss of important people in their lives. People they hadn’t expected to lose.
IOW, odds are you are dealing with someone who is stressed-out, scared, and possibly angry at the world right now and they are playing this game to get a break from that.
A point I had to remind myself of two days ago as my own frustration mounted as I drove trying to find a drive through line that wasn’t a mile long, and when I did the guy gave me my food and forgot to give me the drink I’d ordered.
I had to take a deep breath and remind myself that the world is a scary and confusing place right now, and we all need to cut one another a little slack right now.

Strawman. The OP is not complaining about AFK players. He's talking about people who are so focused on their own play that they dont' extend the courtesy of reviving downed team mates.

Yes, but I am making a comment on your post. I shall protect adults who have to go on a business call and have to go AFK.

Point taken, but those kind of Real-life-gets-in-the-way events are rare. ...and generally, putting down the controller and dealing with them when they do occur, is usually the responsible thing to do.
