The change doesn't bother me. The Masterwork concept was a band aid fix for a bad game. They've spent pretty much the past 3 years rebuilding D2 from the ground up, keeping gameplay on life support with as many band aids as possible.
Not being able to generate orbs in D1 with weapon kills didn't hold anyone back but now the community is just spoiled.
That being said, the only thing I'm looking to is weapon crafting. I want it to be good but I'm not getting my hopes up at all.

You're gonna get cancelled, ratiod, crucified, killed, tortured & all kinds of bad things will happen just because you called the community spoiled. Which is really sad, because its true. Now all those things will happen to me.

Never understood why masterworking did anything other than bump a stat? Orb generation did not make sense other than it being the "band aid fix" for long cool downs in Y1 of D2.

I'm with ya on the weapon crafting, gotta see to believe. I think the 30th anniversary was a step in correct direction as was the umbral engram decoder.
