We couldn’t make orbs with weapons back in D1 and I still use that game as my gold standard which I use to judge all other games by. So “ruin” is a bit of a exaggeration.
I’m curious if they will revert the nerf to orbs that make them disappear after a while though.

We also didn't have entire builds around dedicated mods that require you to make orbs with weapons in D1 so there's that too. If I'm not mistaken, certain subclass nodes in D1 allowed you to create orbs like Defender created orbs on heavy weapon kills and Warlock created orbs with charged melee kills on Sunsinger. Oddly enough, we don't have those abilities in D2 🤷

But that mod can be swapped out for another mod like blast radius, quick charge or whatever goes with your load out. It’s not the end of charged with light builds. Thing is we don’t know what’s coming with WQ and void 2.0 or 3.0? This stuff could be coming back. We only know a small detail and everyone is losing their mind like it’s the end of the world. We could be getting new mods that see the end of CWL builds because they become inferior. We just don’t know enough yet.

To be fair, things work a lot differently between now and then. It is not a bit but quite a bit of stretch to say it as ok in D1, so it should be ok now.
