  • ^ literally this. People seem to forget that vanilla D1 was just as bad, if not worse than vanilla D2 simply because TTK landed well. For most of it’s life cycle, D1 was bland, boring, hella dry on content - and it’s gameplay has actually aged pretty horribly. Go back and play it with the nostalgia glasses off, and you’ll realize that for all it’s faults D2 is still a vast improvement.

  • I tell people this so many times it’s not even funny but some how we are the ones in the wrong, Ive went back and played d1 a few times and it was horrible lmao

  • I wouldn't ever say "masterpiece" and I have never seen anyone say that, but, Imo at least they were a lot more consent with the game in D1 than they have been in D2.
