Taking charge + supercharged + protective light
Taking charge + supercharged + argent ordinance
Taking charge + supercharged + lucent blade
Taking charge + supercharged + high energy fire
Taking charge + supercharged + kindling the flame
Taking charge + supercharged + energy converter
These are some of the builds I have for charged with light that specifically depend on making orbs with weapons.
No orbs and these builds aren’t as useful. There’s other ways to become charged with light but none of them are nearly as reliable as orb generation.

But code of commander titan/heart of inmost light/explosive well maker/elemental ordinance/ashes to assets/well of ordinance/seeking wells and bomber your creating void wells to charge with light and solar wells to completely restore grenades. Easy mode everything. Supers recharged every 15 to 30 seconds depending on how much ad clear your dealing with.

You don't always need to use taking charge... They're other ways of getting CWL

Remember when warmind mods were the thing and no one wanted to use charged with light? Now it's charged with light and no one wants to use wells. Seems like a nerf to charged with light to get folks to use wells more.

I use the wells but really only seems useful with stasis armor. Something like Verity’s Brow works good with them but I have to use a stasis weapon. Next season will feature rocket launchers I think. That will free up an exotic slot.

I should say that Verity’s Brow works with any subclass as long as your weapons match it. Worth trying at least.

Well, gms are full of shield and being match game, you should have matching weapons soo…

In most GMs we have between 3 and 6 shielded enemies...

Well mods are situational at best in GMs, so not as reliable as multikills from weapon as the orb falls at your mates' feet. Yes well mods work, and I 95% run well mods in normal content and master Avarice, but I wouldn't do it in GMs. I also wouldn't change relying on cwl from finishers either; both situations you never know where that sniper shot will pop out of, or some random teleporting add that one shots you.

I've been using well mods without taking charge for awhile and in GMs it's completely fine - they're a lot more usable than people realize, it's not as simple as taking charge but it works just as good

Or from finishers, takes 1-10th of your super but if your actually shooting aliens its fine.
