The 2 problems with the orb change for me is it discourages team play. How often have run around picking up others peoples orbs for charge with light or your super? 2nd it further diminishes the power fantasy. Team play and power fantasy have always been my favourite parts of destiny.

Edited by Spawn Of Apathy: 1/16/2022 10:26:15 PMThe orbs on the ground aren’t shared. In PvE they’re just like ammo bricks. Only you can see the orbs you’re able to collect. You can’t steal somebody’s orbs.

Yes but you can pick up the orbs other people generate.

I don’t think you understand. Yes they generated them. But for you to pick them up means ONLY you can pick them up. You’re not taking an orb they could have otherwise picked up. If you don’t pick up the orb it just disappears. It just like if they kill something and you see a power ammo brick pop out. You picking it up doesn’t mean they can’t get it. They may not have had a power ammo brick on their screen. If they generate an orb and everyone on the fire team sees an orb, you all get an orb. You’re not stealing their orb.

I understand but it’s not about ‘stealing’ it’s about working as a team. Destiny is at its best when in a fireteam. This is why I’m experimenting with a wells build.

Yeah I think well builds might become more dominant. The downside is you already need a mod to even generate them. So it will just be a matter of which method can synergies to make the most potent builds.
