Curse of Osiris prophecy weapons may actually predict the future
So I was bored one day looking through my vault when I noticed that the item descriptions for the old curse of Osiris prophecy (the one we had to do quests to craft on mercury) weapons don’t just tell a random story, they tell what happened in dlc that came out years later.
The energy hand cannon, Jack Queen King 3, describes the forsaken story
The kinetic pulse rifle, Machina Dei 4, describes shadowkeep and hints at the exo stranger returning in beyond light
The energy sidearm, travelers judgement 5, I believe describes savathuns arrival, revelation, and subsequent stealing of the light, even referencing what I believe what may potentially be caiatl’s legion of cabal continuing to go to war against the hive.

I’m apt to disagree with what each of those prophecies allude to. In the article that recently outlined a lot of the issues within bungie over the last few years, it was mentioned that the narrative teams were often completely out of sync. This last year of destiny is the first time that the narrative has truly had a course and a plan. Machina Dei 4 is simply about the arrival of the traveler: “a charnel but effulgent orb - beacon in a loathsome dark” “Fêted, fetid corpses rise - a long too absent gibbous spark” is about the resurrection of guardians Jack Queen King is not as straightforward, but the “Three Nobles” that wage their “hopeless war” is likely story of Oryx, Savathun, and Xivu Arath, and how Oryx stood above the three of them (initially). Traveler’s Judgement 5 is about the Red War. “A visitor ignites the sky” is Ghaul attacking the city.
