I know exactly what you're talking about, it might be a generational issue as well. Destiny players have always been snobs ie. requirements used to include Icebreaker or Gally..now they want you to run specific builds or have certain stats. LFG used to be the place to go but now those forums or apps are toxic as well.
Masterworked weapons and armor builds that veteran players have give new or returning players a hard time, it's a huge advantage. LFG groups make it hard for new or returning players to improve their K/D or K/DA
It took me about 4 months to get at least 1 PVP build and decent weapons but even now I can't use weapons that are fun or interesting because all anyone runs are shotguns and handcannons. It's boring and matchmaking sucks

Edited by m0stlygh0stly: 1/16/2022 1:30:30 AMI agree wholeheartedly. The new loading are around 75 percent shotguns and handcannons, the rest are speciality niche weapons like jotun, telesto, etc. Now there are pretty much one shot snipers. Earlier I had just activated a super in Iron banner and was downed with a single sniper round immediately after. I was around when they initially nerfed teleso but now it seems there are whole loadouts that are overpowered compared to others. Weapons that used to feel absolutely legendary and the grind was heavy for like thorn, Lunas howl etc, just don't seem to pack the punch they once did. And old rigs like stompees, midas multi/mini tool just don't do the trick anymore. All of that learning and loving crucible just to come back to a completely new crucible. I feel for the new light's rn.

Exactly, they nerfed the guns you mentioned but pay to play guns are still OP like Hawkmoon and DMT..makes sense but it doesn't 🤷♂️ can't say I didn't see this coming, reason why I stopped playing D1 and D2 twice..

Yeahhh I hear that. Been a hunter since the very first day and they ended up (Spoilers) eh... botching... our vanguard. After that the mixed toxicity that was becoming rampant and the rampant nerfs ran me off for a bit. I primarily used telesto and had a blast with it prior to the telesto nerf. Then hawkmoon for a long time with the helmet xur released as an exotic. That too got nerfed lol. But later still the warlocks nova bomb had to be nerfed. Seems like the issue always has been the area of affect. Seems reasonable that certain weapons should be heard from a distance and feared and if u hear it, move.

Same. Year one day one. Good to meet another old head! Feels like there's nobody around that even remembers how we got here 😄 Good to see some of us still here 😀
