I think the orb change is a positive if something like I describe below comes with the weapon crafting… You want to create your god roll (insert weapon name here). You have it drop but with 1 of the 9 options that make up a weapon that would make up your god roll. (2x barrels/scopes, 2x mag perks, 2x column 1 2x column 2 and the masterwork perk we have now) You go to where you craft the weapon and you ‘sacrifice’ that weapon to start your god roll and in doing so, you take 1 perk from the sacrificed weapon and it is on your weapon ‘frame’ (kill clip in column 2 for example). That’s were you start ‘crafting’. With each drop of said weapon, you can sacrifice it and take 1 perk from it and add it to you frame until your frame is complete. Then your grind begins for true mastery. You use the basic frame with no perks unlocked (just like D1). Once you have all the perks unlocked, it becomes masterworked. This means the stats bump up just like on Adept weapons right now (plus 2/5 to things like range, stability etc as well as the plus 10 to the masterwork option we have now) Hope this made sense.   • Your an ultra, super, mega casual so its not clear to you why this nerf is so huge. In no way is the system positive unless the mod costs zero and all helm armor gains an additional mod slot similar to aeons. Charged with light makes more difficult content less scary, Its also the gate way to more consistent super up times, along with often a key part to some interesting builds out their.

  • I wouldn’t say I’m a ultra super mega casual and I do understand it’s a big change. There are more ways to become charged with light other than picking up an orb… Also, there are weapon perks that help you speed up your super uptime… I would happily sacrifice orb creation being linked to double kills if it meant I could craft my 5/5 god roll weapon.

  • you have 24 raid clears and no gm's thats casual. What you also may not know is on december 7th an ammo econ change took place. ammo drops are time based with out finders, exotic primary weapons(except for mytho) do modify the ammo econ but thats it. Special is about 1min(slightly reduced by time in combat), a build up timer(go long enough with out kills your next kill drop 2 bricks), & if you have no special ammo the next kill drops ammo(these rules are slightly different or augmented when you have double special+heavy). Heavy is even more taxed: around 3mins 30 seconds in combat, with a 7min ceiling if not time is spent in combat, having no heavy ammo does not give an augment to its drop timer. This makes ammo finders more important then ever because they work off number of kills(this is how the system use to be before dec 7th). so if you are loosing a mod slot or points to slot a finder mod your ammo situation will be very bleak.

  • Im sorry, but my gameplay experience with finding ammo does not support your claims. I dont usually run ammo finders and sometimes it rains heavy and others its a drought. If you have concrete evidence or a link that can support the ammo mechanics you mentioned, ill look into it.

    I just tested it with a very well known content creator and it is indeed a timer augmented by time in combat. Would you like the test methodology? Theirs also a way to exploit special ammo drops to an extent.

  • Raids and GMs are not the content I enjoy so that’s why I don’t have many of them. This doesn’t make me casual by any means. I hear your ammo argument and it’s importance to you. So that will always be on your helmet and that’s great. This means you may need to prioritise a different mod to get charged with light if you use charged with light rather than taking charge or introduce a different weapon perk to your options if you want super faster. For me, ammo finders aren’t all that important to me as ammo will drop eventually. Staying alive while I wait for it to drop is part of the thrill. So for me, they aren’t used very often.
