So now our masterworked weapons are essentially worthless

  • hey hey hey if you got that full range masterwork on your shotgun you got that extra 0.0002m of range, or that extra 0.0000001 second faster reload if it's reload masterwork!

  • That sounds about right, although I think you need a couple more zeroes in those Range and reload "Buffs" - wouldn't want anyone to be overpowered. :)

  • I think a good trade off would be to allow you to pick the masterwork, anything to make the bitter pill easier to swallow. I don't know about you but I've masterworked a roll that had a less than optimal masterwork perk because of the god roll traits, say a PVE roll with a reload trait that also had a reload masterwork. I guess some people wouldn't but for me the orb generation and traits was always the main reason I masterworked then it was the masterwork perk itself.

  • Picking the masterwork would be nice but what's the point if we now have to equip a mod just to produce orbs of power. That was the whole point of us masterworking our legendary weapons. I think exotics should have always spawned orbs of power intrinsically regardless of there being a catalyst associated with the weapon. It's just a terrible idea & there was really no reason to implement such a major change.

  • I'm not disagreeing to be fair I was playing devils advocate more than anything, it's a no for me if the choice is there, but I allso think weapon crafting might also offer up some options that might have made the orb generation decision necessary, I don't know, but like I said if the choice is keep it the same or rework, I'm for keeping it the same. Be worth waiting to see what weapon crafting offers up as well, but the question I have to ask if crafting was the main catalyst for change, why not wait until then? Either way I'm going to wait and see and hope they knew what they were doing.
