Pretty sure you will still be able to make orbs with kinetic weapons. Thorn is kinetic and was specifically called out in the TWAB. I think it may be an orb mod for each weapon type, so kinetic/stasis, solar, arc, and void. This is still a terrible idea. They should just let all exotics generate orbs, regardless of masterwork status. Simple solution.
