So that's 2 mod slots gone because I want my kinetic and energy weapon to create orbs.

For example, you have solar equipped (1 mod). You use a solar primary as energy (which has now infinite ammo). That gun will be able to generate orbs on kills. Your heavy (if solar) too. Just the kinetic slot not anymore. I get it sucks, just pointing out there will still be enough orbs probably, if you use the right guns.

Well yes, but actually no. Unless you are playing Grandmaster Nightfalls, it also works with just abilities and/or Kinetic weapons. Unless you are playing Grandmaster Nightfalls, it just makes it much easier, but not impossible.

I'll just have to play the game without charged with light mods, or the mods that heal you or reduce cooldown on orb pick-up and just generally have a worse gaming experience as a result. That's probably what Bungie wants, their secret goal to nerf CWL and healing/cooldown bypass methods using orbs.

I'm concerned that kinetics just won't generate orbs at all anymore, seeing as how they only mentioned elements and osmosis specifically

Thorn was mentioned during that section so kinetics should be fine. Think they mentioned osmosis so you'll need one mod for 2 weapons.

So now osmosis is mandatory?! Now we're peigon holed into running ONE perk only on kinetics if you want to make orbs. Wtf.

Thorn was mentioned which is kinetic. So the mods will be focused on weapon classes, elements or their slot. But with osmosis being mentioned, i feel it'll be elemental.

Updates are free, as I also know is this horrific change. So regardless of if bought WQ or not this will still affect you
