Why don't you learn how to combat shotgun users then.
Shotguns are in a good place (before you say anything I prefer snipers) but the problem I have seen too often is people playing into a shotguns strengths.
Why do people run at others.
With the current Time to Kill why are people letting people run up to them before opening fire.
Why are people running into a CQB area with a shotgun camper getting blasted then respawn only to run straight back into that cave.. again and again and again.
If people started thinking they would be able to counter shotgun users.
Adapt... Improvise.... Overcome.

But that requires effort of oneself and not the Developer neutering a weapon I dislike because I try crucible once in a blue moon as a pve player

Why should Bungie (or any game studio) modify a game just for you. Bungie has to consider hundreds of thousands of players. Some are pvp main, some are pve but most are both. Just because you let people run up to you or you just charge at others all the time is not Bungie's fault. As I said shotguns are easy to counter three quarters of the time. If you use your head you will start to see what I am talking about. Keep that distance... Do not run at others. If charged back off firing. Stay out of CQB areas where you know someone is camping. Situation awareness... do you have space behind you to back up. If you are charged and you don't have space run away until you do. Go wide around corners.. if you crouch you vanish of radar for a few seconds so someone may be hiding around that corner and going round it close in means you are in the shotguns one shot kill range. Go wide to see if anyone is there and if so you will have some space to counter them If someone is camping in a cave bait them out, use area affect weapons or just bypass the area forcing them out to engage anyone.

Believe me if I say this. Everyone blames pvp crybabies but i have seen more pve potatoes demanding the pvp must be catered to them. In regards to nerfs and buffs I have seen people demanding nerfs for something that is clearly not broken or they simply refuse to adapt So yes you have a point, why should a pve player who tries crucible once in a blue moon expect the pvp to be catered to them I hope you know my first comment was satire and sarcasm because I have seen too many pve players just instead of learning looking to bungie to hold their hand
