Chain the third
"No," Melinoa doesn't take her glare off of the witch as she approaches, sword raised, "I didn't know she'd be here for certain. I was brought here same as all of you." The witch looks between the two of you, "I'm lost, sorry, what seems to be the problem? Because I've just been sitting here since I arrived in town."
-
“Pardon me, lady, but my place is overrun with monster freaks. I believe they are yours, so if you would take them somewhere else, that would be great.”
-
"Close," Melinoa adds lowering her gaurd a bit, "The people of the city were taken by the Nowhere." "Well I didn't do it," the witch looks past the both of you and begins walking towards the door, "Atleast not that I'm aware."
-
“Hold up. Don’t leave just yet. Who’s side are you on?”
-
"Mine," she smiles, "but I can probably help if I know what the problem is, so shall we?" She gestures towards the door. Mel still holds her sword toward the witch.
-
“Fine. One wrong move though, and there will be trouble.”
-
Stepping into the courtyard, she looks up at the moon and the wall of mist, then turns to the obelisk. Approaching it her eyes begin to glow with violet light. "This isn't my doing, but I think I can undo it." She looks to you, cautiously raising a hand, "May I?"
-
“Go ahead. Remember, one wrong move, blam. Dead.”
-
Mel moves to flank her as the witch reaches out and plucks a few threads of magic in the air, then she plucks a few more, and so on, creating a humming tune around you. "Ah, so long story short: Nowhere, this place, is thirsty. And this thing is a straw! It's weakening though, so this might end on its own soon enough, but I could use it to send you back now if you wish?"
-
“Would that stop the monsters and other freakish stuff?”
-
"For you? Yes!"
-
“Let’s try the now option, but if that doesn’t work then we’ll have to wait it out.”
-
"Alright, let's see if this works!" The witch reaches out and grabs a thread of magic that pulses through all the colors of the rainbow and a screech like an out of tune violin fills the air. She raises her other hand, snaps her fingers. And you are standing in the city as it was. The sun is rising in the distance and confused civilians fill the streets, and only a few hours have passed as opposed to the days I underestimated this thing taking!
-
“It worked? It worked!” *Thire fires his gun in the air* “So, no side effects, right? No rifts opening in my refrigerator or at the stop lights?”
-
Nope! Simple as that. I didn't really have a grand plan for this, just had an idea and figured it'd help get back into the groove of it before putting out something bigger.
-
Well, I enjoyed this. If you do make another RP at some point, I’d like to join it as well.
-
New chain 2
Mel draws her sword as a group of black feathered Harpies swoop down from the mist, shrieking with talons out before them!
-
*Thire opens fire at the group of Harpies* “Time for a little bird hunting!”
-
You shoot one down and injure another that swoops past! Mel cuts a third down and a fourth slices her arm as it swoops past!
-
*Thire shoots at the second and forth harpies*
-
The second flies off, but you hit the fourths wing and it falls to the ground, then stands and snarls at you!
-
*Thire unloads the rest of his revolver into the harpy*
-
You gun the Harpy down as the other returns, swooping past and slashing your shoulder! Mel swats it down and stabs it then turns to you, "We should run, these are scouts!"
-
“Good idea. Might as well leave some for later.”
-
"They'll just get back up anyway, things here don't stay dead!" Mel sprints forward as many flapping wings and crowlike cries echo through the street!
