You're an idiot for complaining about having to play in a party in a social multiplayer game. Plain and simple. That said, my major complaint is that at no point in the advertising for this content did they directly connect the paid dungeon with the Gjallahorn. When I preordered, I preordered with the presumption that, as advertised, I would get the rocket launcher when I collected my preordered goods, and the dungeon would just be an additional fun thing to do. If I had been informed properly that I would have to clear the dungeon to get the headliner exotic, I would likely not have preordered the bundle, at least not for that exotic weapon. This is information that should have been in the advertisement for the preorder, and the fact that it isn't is problematic from a legal and ethical standpoint.

  • Everyone who pays attention to Bungie social media knew that the Gjallarhorn was a quest

  • A quest and a dungeon aren't the same thing. A quest can be me running back and forth to the Exo Stranger a few times and doing some playlist strikes while spamming Stasis abilities for an hour. Some quests are quite literally "Talk to this person and pick up your stuff and maybe talk to another person to pick up more stuff". The quest to get Scepter is ridiculously easy because the only actual content you have to do is an easy 6-player matchmade mission that everyone runs at least 3 times a week anyway. Saying "we all knew it was a quest" does not in any way make it clear that said quest includes a mandatory completed run of the new dungeon.

  • I it's an exotic quest, how many are "go talk to this person and get loot"?

  • Riskrunner, DMT, Ager's Scepter, Lorentz Driver, Forerunner, and Lost Lament all have very easy and straightforward Exotic Quests. And I'm not talking "just look up a guide" easy, I'm talking "a fresh install that's over Light Lv can do it on their own no problem" easy. If you legitimately try to respond to somebody complaining about this dungeon with "just look up a guide; it's easy", then you're out of touch with what "easy" is. And before you say "Lorentz is the Season Pass Exotic, that doesn't count", consider that from a newbie or outsider's perspective, paid content is paid content. You buy the Season Pass and get the weapon instantly. You buy the anniversary bundle, which doesn't say in its ingame description "you're going to have to beat this dungeon for the exotic we're advertising", and you expect the exotic to show up when you pay the money, or at most require some minor running around. That's my complaint. It's not that I have to clear the dungeon (I have no real problem with that and I'll get an LFG to help if I need it), it's that I was not told that I would need to, and it wasn't something inconsequential. Saying "It was on their social media" doesn't matter when the ingame description says nothing about this before you buy the content. Having to look up a guide or social media post about the content of a package that can be purchased ingame defeats the purpose of preordering it ingame.

  • Do you really want to tell us that a mission like Hawkmoons or DMTs are harder than the new dungeon? You can easily solo it. That comparison is utterly strange.

  • That's the exact opposite of what I said.
