If a religious dogma leads to blind hate towards any demographic it needs reform. Also where in the Bible does it say you cannot be transgender? Nowhere. That's where. Deuteronomy 22:5 is invalid here because of two reasons. 1: clothes have no gender 2: citing this shows a completely fundamental misunderstanding of what it is to be transgender. People also often cite genesis 1:27 and say that the "and" in "male and female" represents a binary. But that is inconsistent with other Bible verses where "and" represents a spectrum (see genesis 1:1; Revelation 22:13) this implies that gender is also represented as a spectrum, but people have misinterpreted it as a binary. Even if it were talking about a person's s[i][/i]ex, that is still a spectrum as inters[i][/i]ex individuals are a biological reality. Also, according to Christianity, you cannot wear clothing that is made from a blend of two materials, so if you've ever worn a cotton poly blend shirt, congratulations, you sinned. (Leviticus 19:19) I think you're just transphobic and using religious freedom as flimsy shield to protect yourself and try and justify your blind hate despite religion having nothing to do with a debate about trans rights.
