Bungie is recognizing a marginalized group of people who exist, and that some of those people are being killed by people who hate them. They're using their platform to recognize an issue and bring awareness to it, which they have every right to do. Recognizing problems and spreading awareness to try to help those who need it isn't political, nor is it political because it doesn't affect you or you may disagree with it. Hit X on the splash screen just like you do with every other one, get over yourself, and move on.

  • I love how people say “they are being killed bc people hate them” based on what? Trans are on the bottom of the list when it comes to the death rate of different groups. I mean most of the “trans” inclusion policies are far more detrimental. “We want to be inclusive and everyone will be happy! So we decided to have same gender restrooms! Isn’t that great! Now we can include all” Which happened in Chicago and the the result was ###ual assault. Yeah that’s affecting the people who aren’t trans.

  • Yea its something else now a days. It bewilders me when people get upset when a White guy kills a black guy and the jury happene to be more white people call it racist (the case im mentioning the guys deserve to be sentenced its a clear cut case of discrimination) but if a black guy kills a white guy and the jury is mostly black its all fair nothing wrong. Its the whole thing were the victims of the past are the oppressors now, even in court women have a massive advantage over men and their statements against men are taken more seriously in many circumstances. Its not okay for a guy to be locked in jail for 4 years because a lady accused him of something (its happened the lady apologized only 10 years after he was in jail and got a 3 year sentence) Its really annoying how people fight for social justice are just making the world harder for alot of people

  • How are they marginalized? From what i see if some random guy on twitter says anything against them he gets berated and harrased till they delete their account and if their employer finds out its quits for them. Doesn’t really sound marginalized, people play games to disconnect with reality, many people have bigger issues and play games to disconnect and not worry.

  • It is political. I don’t care about the message or the point, but I will contest you on that fact. To say it isn’t political is naive.

  • There is nothing inherently political about expressing yourself as you are. The way I present myself in public and the way I feel comfortable in my own body isn't a political statement, it's literally me living my life which isn't anyone else's business. The implications of doing so does not have anything to do with politics until people want to make it political and impose their ideals and laws over one's self-expression. We're just trying to not be killed, have rights, and try to get an ounce of happiness out of this life, not be turned into a controversy for your convenience.

Person, you said marginalized. You’re A, insinuating some kind of mistreatment, and B asking reparations for things which 99.9% of the Destiny 2 population has not committed against you. We’re here to play video games, but to be serious, have trans people been marginalized in the same manner as women, races, or -blam!- orientation? The answer is not concrete, because this is a political debate. So then, what is the purpose of the emblem, of the splash page, or whatever Bungie does to support trans people, if not to bring attention to something? Attention incites change, and change requires political action. You “expressing” yourself is not inherently political, but for Bungie to flood my video game feed with images and virtue signaling, that definitely is. Now I don’t much care about this particular issue, but I don’t think companies should be promoting politically charged topics. Imagine there is a store with no replacements. You love buying from them and it has been a part of your shopping life for 7-8 years. One day that store puts a sign on the front door that says: “We support cis white males. They are marginalized by all the inclusivity programs of today, and no one wants them because they are the privileged majority.” Certainly the store has a legal right to place the sign. You may not like it, but are you going to suddenly stop shopping there?
No. The store is a large irreplaceable part of your life.
Now you understand why many of us don’t appreciate what Bungie is doing. Charitable causes, sure. I’ll by an emblem. But I don’t want political stuff on my feed, and topics relating to trans people are politically charged, period. Edit: the store analogy is Destiny, also grammar
