I didn’t purchase the 30th Anniversary pack, as it seemed overpriced for the content. The initial reactions I am reading seem to support that decision. I have never played a dungeon, as I have no interest in talking with people online. Since the price only gives a dungeon as content to play, it doesn’t interest me. A few, mediocre, nostalgic weapons and a dungeon don’t come anywhere near justifying this price. This price should provide a new campaign and storyline. If this is direction for the future of Destiny, I don’t think I care to be a part of it. I stopped playing Destiny with the launch of D2 as it was awful. Slowly changes were made that managed to bring me back in after 3-4 years. The season pass model, sunsetting, and DLC prices that provide nothing substantial are pushing me back out the door. I might be alone in that sentiment, but I don’t think so. As far as the free 6 man event, what is new? It’s basically the same as Battleground, Override, Well Alignment in a set of different clothing. Build Bungie Better

  • You don’t need to talk to do the dungeon with other people. You don’t even need other people. The only reason you haven’t done one yet is because you don’t want to do it.

  • For $ 25 it’s fine . The 6 man is fun and new for now . Haven’t touched new dungeon but my clan mates enjoyed it. New weapons ok . Haven’t really played a lot but so far money well spent for me. I just spent $20 on a dodgy sushi lunch so yeah 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Only $20 on sushi? Must not have been hungry or else it was grocery store sushi. I buy that from time to time.

End of lunch so most places drop prices before they shut for the day . Most are busy so high turn over on produce . Anyways I’ll probably pay for that $30 sushi tonight 🤢 Anyways $25 fine for the anniversary pack ….it’s not a dlc but there’s plenty to do and get .

  • Hasn’t played a dungeon, and doesn’t like talking to people online. I gotta say, I don’t think this game is for you. As those are two of the best parts of Destiny. Seems like you’d be much better off enjoying single player games instead of hoping for a change that frankly, isn’t going to happen.

  • Honestly, I believe you're missing out with not playing dungeons with other people. And I'm not even talking about paid content just yet. I can tell I was a bit scared too on my first experience when I joined a discord and looked for groups but even a simple strike with people you can talk with is better than the thing all alone. Playing alone is great for content you can solo but playing with friends is what makes all that content shine and once you'll have your first clears of dungeons with some sherpa or some nice people, believe me, you'll never want to go back. And that's where I also believe the 30th anniversary dungeon is worth it, it's a nice and fun take on fallen space pirates. It's really good with friends. I'm happy to pay for that. That said, I would understand you don't want to pay to play it solo until you know what it means to go through it with buddies. Cheers,

  • I get it. I used to raid and run strikes with friends in D1. Now due to a combination of factors (age, headaches, health related issues, etc.), I don’t want the noise in my ears. I struggle to get through the work day as it is most days. No doubt, I would enjoy dungeon completions. Unless it’s a redundant mode in the style of Battlegrounds, overwrite, alignment. It’s all starting to feel the same. I recently started playing Gambit and it’s enjoyable, but I can see how it would start to feel monotonous after awhile. The biggest problem for me is that a single dungeon isn’t comparable to the value gamers used to receive from DLC’s (an expanded storyline, new PvP maps), while being priced in a similar range. There is a trend from Bungie to charge more and provide less in return. I am not onboard with it. Considering the thousands of hours I have invested in D1 and D2, it is discouraging to see the shift they are making. Regardless, thank you for identifying a portion of the real issue.

  •
I might be alone in that sentiment, but I don’t think so.
No, you are not alone. I dropped the game years ago right about after Activision left. I can't stand the greed anymore.
Build Bungie Better
This is the new Bungie. It shows their true color. That color is greed. Not gonna buy any of their future games either after what they've done here. You are not alone.
