Let me guess you are an introvert, anxiety blah blah and don't like dealing with people and whatever other nonsense makes you think a multi-player game should be tailored around you. Amusing how you guys can muster the will to make posts on here crying n whining for the game to cater to you. Yet joining a discord n joining on someone without even having to get on voice chat is such a scary concept that you just can't handle it.

  • I'm gonna be honest, "KWTD" is more of a tactic to keep people who have literally no idea what they are doing from joining. And even then, if your willing to learn most people won't kick you.

  • Isn’t saying the game shouldn’t have matchmaking bending to your way, I never understand the argument of use LFG, why should I have to use a third party app and be Monetized another way. Forcing people to use apps that they make money on the side including your info. You said your self it’s a multi player game. Then why didn’t they have that in mind and offer matchmaking for everything, sense the real goal is the people you meet along the way. Seems to me you don’t think that matchmaking can exist with out dumbing down content, yet in literally every other multi player game has matchmaking built into game for ALL activities. Destiny is actually the odd ball out and people have put up with it but it seems every year more and more content is being put behind non matchmaking. And you can rip on people and make fun of them for having anxiety or any other kind of social issue but until you walked in a mile in someone else’s shoes you shouldn’t say anything you’ve probably been sheltered your entire life I have no idea what the real world is like I don’t use LFG and never will I’ve given bungie enough money, And on top of that 90% of the people on these forms I couldn’t spend five minutes with without wanting to suck start an M4.

  • LFG isn't that bad, and in my experience 6/10 of teams I join actively complete the activity. If that isn't your thing, join some clan. Those typically have competent people who are willing to raid.

  • The games designed that way. It’s not “bending it to their way” it’s doing it as it’s intended. Asking bungie to change their designed intentions is trying to bend it to your way. People can’t even throw the ball in the corrupted strike right, and you think they can do the dungeon? Lmao maybe if they 5-6 phase each boss and likely mess up the fallen shield encounter 5+ times. Then you have to hope no one goes AFK or leaves early, that they know what to do, that they have and use their mic, and that they’re skilled enough to actually do the mechanics. And that’s just the dungeon. The raid would almost definitely be impossible for 95% of matchmade groups

  • It doesn’t very often because you can say things like “KWTD” or “mic required” and check players experience with sources like dungeon.report. You also have the ability to kick players, something that matchmaking doesn’t offer. I think it’s been literal years since I joined an lfg group and we failed to complete the raid/dungeon.

Yea I seen that as well as 800 credit score, 10 x completions for less than 24 hr contents been out… not saying you can’t use LFG or it’s not more efficient. I’m just saying everybody’s argument is that it’s easy, which it is easier than others then what’s the harm in matchmaking. I don’t know just don’t understand how it effects people using LFG, I see people use LFG for matchmaking events all the time it doesn’t stop one or the other. On top of the number of people selling runs etc which is against bungie tos and they can’t even bother to make sure their site is secure and in accordance with their own TOS. Laziness goes both ways

  • It’s not that it effects lfg, it’ll effect the difficulty of content. Again people can’t figure out how to do corrupted properly. And it’s literally just throwing a ball at an enemy. The dungeon requires you to pick up engrams that cause a debuff with a 30 second timer, and stand near a crystal to lose the debuff before it wipes you. And that’s just 1 of 2 mechanics. While it might be one of the easier dungeons, it’s still a dungeon. Even the easiest one (Pit of Heresy) is 10x harder than the normal corrupted strike. If bungie were to make a dungeon or raid that was 100% matchmade, they would have to dumb it down to corrupted strike levels of difficulty or lower. And that’s why lfg players don’t want matchmaking. It has nothing to do with effecting our lfg experience, and everything to do with effect the difficulty of the content.

  • I disagree, I have more faith in guardians than that. Some people do things on purpose there is even clans of people who purposely go screw with people. I understand your point but I don’t think the mechanics are that tough.

  • They aren’t, but they’re tougher than the strike mechanics. Yes some people troll but feel free to run corrupted this week and just watch how many people blatantly don’t know how to pass the ball or throw it at the boss. You can claim some are trolling and have all the faith you want in other players, but bungie doesn’t have that much “faith” in them nor do they seem to think it’s all trolling. That’s why they never expanded on guided games and never gave endgame matchmaking. You gotta remember only about 10% of the playerbase actually plays endgame. Those other 90% would join in with no idea what’s going on or how to find out what to do.

  • Someone gets it. Literally I hopped into a random fire team with no voice chat and we finished the dungeon all first time in like 1:30:00

  • Because in random MM for the lowest level NF I quit out twice running The Corrupted because each time I was matched with two people who literally didn’t know what to do I carried them through the strike, but we kept wiping during the final boss fight. One time, I literally…by myself…got her down to a sliver of health before getting knocked off the platform. Then had to sit there and watch the last guy stand there with an orb in his hand and he couldn’t figure out how to throw it….after the other guy couldn’t figure out how to hit her with them. LFG teams aren’t random. Someone who knows LFG knows the game and is experienced player. Random MM is RANDOM and opens the game up to anyone who meets the level requirements. Including people who barely know which end of the controller to hold.
