How can you raid solo when raids require six players and communication. Matchmaking would be a nightmare because you first have to find six players and hope they all stay for the time needed, if you're all noobs that's over an hour maybe two or three. Everyone needs to know what they are doing and the role they have. Everyone needs to talk and matchmaking no one's putting mics on. Matchmaking doesn't guarantee people will join or. Then stay for over an hour of needed. Will stay if you fail one section once. Know what they are doing. Know how to do their role and how to help out others if needed. When to shoot boss and when not to. When to start a section when everyone's ready. How to deal with all adds because some adds you never kill. How to do each section effectively and the same way as everyone else because people do different methods. You are all the right light level. You have the DPS weapons. You have communication because that's the key to raids. There's a reason raids don't have matchmaking because it's a nightmare. It's bad enough sometimes doing it with randoms via a discord server. You get people who don't know what they are doing. That's fine if you're all willing to teach. You get people with poor mics or no mics. You get people who are way too low. People who don't understand the method. People who don't speak the same language. People who don't have decent DPS weapons. People that can't stick to their role. People who don't communicate even with mics. People who forget their partners or groups. People who get lost in raids. People who can't get over jumping puzzles. People who start everything before people are ready People who argue so one has to be kicked. People who leave for no reason or leave if you mess up once. People who join hear a girl and then harass them throughout the raid meaning they have to be kicked. You get kids who can be annoying or decent players. You get people who have no concept of aim and do two damage to the boss. People who grab relic and have no clue what to do with it or die with it off the map. People who don't know what wipe means. People who can't kill adds. People who kill themselves over and over. People who join that are just there to troll. People who join know everything talk when needed but don't talk or have fun with anyone. The two players that join and instantly become best buds and don't shut up but it's nice to see. The old guy you sometimes get telling war stories. That kid who tries to sing. Someone with a vacuum in the background or a Spanish family screaming. People who speak broken English or whatever language you are all speaking. There's loads of reasons matchmaking raids don't work or exist. If you want to raid find people this isn't a solo players game it's mea t for people with teams or who are willing to get teams. Bungie has already given you solo playlists for nearly everything even trials which shouldn't have one really because the same issues apply like with raids just not as bad.

  • Exactly this. World of Warcraft destroyed itself with matchmaking for endgame activities, where people where forced away from talking to each other. It literally destroyed the game.

  • My dude. Choose maybe 3 examples and move on. Nobody is gonna read that wall of text.

  • Said like a true individual who advocates for things that would never work in the game and gets upset when they're given factual evidence against their desires.

  • I actually agree with his points lmao. Asking for match making in a 6 player activity that REQUIRES communication or at least planning before hand is beyond stupid. He just needs to format the thing down. It looks like someone vomited text on the screen.

  • Personal preference, though you shouldn't bash the man for stating the facts that people ignore. This is the community of "But what about-."

  • No he is. But it's still a nasty wall of text that needs formatting.

  • Agreed definitely could have picked some examples instead of like 200 like you were saying
