Nothing is locked by Bungie from solo players.
The only thing locking those items you mentioned is your pride of remaining a “solo” player.
I don’t like talking on mics but I still have a brain so I know how to use lfg.

For some, this has nothing to do with “pride” or “having a brain” as you so eloquently phrased it. There are individuals in the community who suffer from social anxiety/depression and don’t exactly feel comfortable grouping up with complete strangers, especially when they’ve had a very bad experience. The level of toxicity on these 3rd party LFG sites is insane. While Bungie seems to acknowledge many other social and political issues and injustices, which I won’t get into here, they’re also neglecting all those that suffer from social anxiety/depression which is a huge issue as well. Aside from that, there are people who were part of a clan at one time but for whatever reason it didn’t work out for them. For me, just as an example, I was in a clan with a great group of people but there was one guy who made things very uncomfortable. So I left. Since then, it’s been extremely difficult to find another clan of like-minded people. The clan I’m in now is good, don’t get me wrong, but they’re all a bit younger so I don’t feel like I fit in. For that reason, I’m mainly a solo player now. Because of this, and since the best loot is locked behind the dungeon, I didn’t purchase the 30th anniversary content. I have no plans to do so either for the first time since D1 BETA, and honestly, I think I’m better off anyway. With all that said, to be clear, I’m not going to propose that everything get MM. Raids and GMNF’s should stay as-is, but there’s no reason the dungeons shouldn’t have the option (once again, I said “OPTION”) to queue up and find two other guardians. The mechanics are just as complex as a strike, so that excuse is BS. If you have a fireteam, good for you, and guess what? This change has NO impact on you, so therefore, this shouldn’t be ANY issue for you in any way whatsoever. If you wish to run it solo without two other guardians, then you also have the option to do so. Everyone wins.
