If they did that people would complaint they're forced into x activity to get certain weapons.

I can see your point but no one complains about the trials weapons being locked behind trials.

They most definitely do lol. I've seen complaints about trials gear locked behind trials, anything locked behind crucible.

Well, that's too bad. That's how it should be. You want X gear, you go play X. You want Y gear, you go play Y. If people wanna complain... Oh well. If you're not willing to jump into a gamemode for a gun, you probably don't really need the gun. Now, catalysts on the other hand, should have options.
