It’s one pop-up that you can immediately press a button to ignore. How is this having “politics shoved down our throats”?

Exactly. Should people with non-cancer diseases complain when major sports have their cancer awareness/fundraising drives (e.g. V Week on ESPN)? If it doesn't apply to you, ignore it and move on. Unless, I suppose, you are somehow biased against the cause being referenced and thus find it offensive.
