Dear Bungie, why is there a transgender splash screen in Destiny 2? We understand your corporate core values. Most, if not all corporations, have similar core values. we agree with them and practice them daily. As a heterosexual, I personally don't care what gender, -blam!- , color, whatever anyone identifies with. We, as guardians come to Bungie to play Destiny 2 and to get away from the politics associated with anything , I mean anything. We respect your corporate core values but splashing your core values on the game screen really isn't necessary is it?

And yet you can't change any aspect of your character once you've created them. Funny that

Look at you all getting all bothered by something in a video game 😂😂 grow up

Edited by Ricochet 049: 12/8/2021 2:54:10 PMI don’t play video games for my identity. But if other people do then cool I guess. It really doesn’t hurt anything, and if it makes someone else happy then I really can’t find fault with it. I don’t like others telling me how I should be, I’d be a hypocrite to then demand how others are.

Edited by grim: 12/9/2021 5:18:09 PMLook at all the triggered whiners over a splash screen!!! Hahaha snowflakes.

Bungie is recognizing a marginalized group of people who exist, and that some of those people are being killed by people who hate them. They're using their platform to recognize an issue and bring awareness to it, which they have every right to do. Recognizing problems and spreading awareness to try to help those who need it isn't political, nor is it political because it doesn't affect you or you may disagree with it. Hit X on the splash screen just like you do with every other one, get over yourself, and move on.
-
Does it really bother you so much that you have to come cry on the forums about it? Go touch some grass dude.

Just because a mental disability can't be seen, doesn't mean it's not a disability 👍

Wow the post is still up??? Bungie is not reading our comments.

Edited by SWATTeamTim: 12/9/2021 2:56:33 AMVideogame should be a place free from politics. On the bright side at least they gave us some really cool stuff for the 30th!!!!

I'm trans and I could care less honestly I just the play the game

Edited by Peaches Pan Tao: 12/8/2021 8:20:00 AMWould you care if bungie made an emblem in solidarity with veterans or police? As a conservative I do get bugged by what I perceive as "wokeness", but I also know that the lives, identities, and struggles of marginal groups are real and worth caring for. Its just an emblem for those who support what it stands for. And bungie foundation proceeds go towards helping people in these communities, so all in all I dont see what the big deal is.

You know it is a charity event, right? Just click through if you're triggered.
-
“Splash Screen” ?
-
It's a small thing to simply acknowledge a community of people that have been marginalized and excluded for so long. This is not inherently political. It is cultural acceptance. I wish we would live and let live rather than codify culture.
-
Just chuckle at the mandatory catering they have to follow by rules of social laws and move on. Its not a big deal. Just add it to the cringe comp

Don't care what your view is. If you treat me with respect, I treat you with respect. However, how can you even tell if the person on the screen of a video game is transgender without being told the person in armor and helmet was transgender? If you can honestly tell the pixels on your screen is transgender, you need some help. We're all humans first. Also, why are you even triggered by this thing? It's a charity event. Sure, if politics were an every day thing then I'd be there with you. I play games to get away from the crazies. But a week or however long charity event out of 52 weeks of the year isn't something to grab your pitchforks about. Trust me, in a game where you can magically clip out of bounds by getting on your Sparrow, a charity event is the least concerning thing.

it's a splash screen that you can close out of in 1 sec. but I guess it bothered you enough to spend a few minutes to get on here and make this post. also the splash screen and sentiment behind it are not political. bungie was not advocating for any bill, law, or policy change. they were just celebrating the fact that trans people exist. If they made a splash screen celebrating cancer survivors would you think that was somehow political? and if they made a splash screen highlighting a political belief you hold im sure you wouldn't take the time to get on here and make a post about keeping politics out of the game even if its only for a sec.
-
I agree Bungie should stop donating to those kids and remind us ever time they do them damn politics need to geeet outta here! Lol
-
It’s only a splash screen, the only people it would be bothering are transphobes. It’s only to bring awareness to it, trans people and their recognition aren’t politics. Just press enter/x to move on from it lol.

How is this post surviving on the forums ??? I’ve had ones that were far more mild than this get ripped off.
