You are not alone. It seems that a lot of people have been having this issue over the past couple of weeks, both in PC an Xbox. I truly believe this is something on Bungie’s end. I’d love to hear from a Bungie employee about why so many people are having this issue all of a sudden.

Hello fellow seeker of help. I am glad to announce that i have fixed my case of the nightingale problem! I did some more research and as it turns out the google DNS servers arent really the best to connect to from where i am (EU). I tried using the cloudflare servers (1.1.1.1) and it worked. (i left the backup server adress empty in case that had any impact aswell). Please try using this or another server than the google one (8888). And in case it works: please share it with others suffering from the same problem. good luck!

Agreed, im sure that if it pops up more they´ll have to say something. Its also a personal relief because i dont have the money for a pc or to change my internet provider....
