You should have to spend motes to invade.
That way there's an actual gamble to invading.
Amount spent invading = time /overshield available to you

This is a great and simple idea. In match-made teams it might lessen the portal campers and promote the objective. Love it.

Awesome idea. should also make it so only the person who deposited motes into the portal can invade, which would get rid of people fighting to get to the portal first. once a teammate invades there could be a cooldown for depositing into the portal to curtail endless invades, but once the enemy team summons their primeval the cooldown could go away.

This is an interesting idea that I would like to see get more attention. It would also force invaders to participate in wave clearing rather than just standing by the portal.
