eh i wouldn’t really enjoy shin malphur as hunter vanguard… he’s a bit of a rogue, even for a hunter. and i think he wouldn’t want that spot either. also, he isn’t dead, he’s very much alive! (at least to my knowledge)

Even if he is dead, we brought Saint back so it is possible, just doesn't have to be done via the Sundial now, also Osiris came back after doing whatever the -blam!- in D1 and Red War

I'm aware he's alive, it just mara came back, and she wasn't dead, she was just chilling in the throne world and Shin as of right now has nothing to do than wait until Shayura really steps off the deep end and becomes just as bad as Dredgen Yor, and then Shin comes to us to rid of Shayura with him, sounds like fan fic but for a Shin season, all I could really think of.
