This game needs an overhaul.
One that can only be accomplished with a new installment(destiny 3)
Unfortunately, D2 and Eververse makes too much money for bungie to put a pause on D2 to fully commit to a new game

I would rather they continue to develop and support D2 than make another copy and paste destiny port and call it D3.

The assumption is that they wouldn't do that. But then, let's take a look at what's going on right now. They're just copy and pasting D2 content. Quite literally. At least with another installment actual overhauls can be done instead of trying to bandaid patch a decade old engine. If done right stuff like dcv and slow updates wouldn't be an issue with a destiny 3
