Crossplay name change
I was just wondering why I was given a generic name for cross play for ex. Guardian9406 #3212. I've been trying to change it myself but it repeatedly says it is no available for change can someone help me as to how I can go back to my gamertag, like it originally was before cross-platform changed it to a generic name.

1 ReplyThere are 4 characters in the middle of your name that likely triggered the change, though this is a guess based on others with the same issue. Bungie has likely tuned the filter to be fairly strict in order to catch as many possibly offensive/CoC breaking names, with ones like your being caught in the mix. Name change functionality is scheduled for some time this winter, and Bungie will provide more details as it gets closer.
