tl;dr—Even knowing his past, he continues to act like a spoiled emo teen and runs off to cry in his mascara. Boo-hoo. Can we shoot him again?

 • So...like most Hunters then? I kid I kid, but I understand why the character did what they did. I mean, this guy's one of the newest Guardians, the blueberry of blueberries. And he finds out that his mentor is actually a Hive god that specializes in lies and trickery that showed him who he was...but that in itself may have been a lie, but if that's true then what IS true? So his entire world has been tossed upside down and inside out.

 • Heh. I can’t muster any sympathy whatsoever. Not only does he have a history of getting used by the bad guys due to his pathetic need to be liked, when he found out Savathûn used him, his reaction was to go crying to her with, “I thought we were friends!” He’s a disgrace.

 • He's essentially a child. Keep in mind he's been "alive" for only a very short time, and in that time has been the puppet of a crime boss and a disguised eldritch abomination all the while being confronted with concepts of interplanetary and interstellar war, immortality, space magic, the giant question mark that is the Traveller, and so on. Same thing happened to us in the first years of D1, we spent most of the time not knowing what the frak was really going on and questioning the hows and whys of the Destiny universe. Though for us there was alot less going on at one time, Crow got stuck in the seasonal model of one event after another while we kinda coasted in between xk-class end of the world events with sparrow racing and dance off events with the glowing purple ball in the tower courtyard while waiting for the next foundry weapon orders or yelling at Rahool for getting another blue out of a purple engram. Nowadays we kinda just shrug shoot it until the engrams pop out and shard what we get out of it.

 • I don’t remember ever trying to hug Crota and ask why he wouldn’t be my friend. Nor do I remember ever acting like a bratty teen to the Vanguard, nor seeing others do so. It’s pretty recent they’ve gone on the kick where every new character has to have daddy/family issues and whine about the unfairness of life. I’m about fed up with Seasons of the Emo.

 • Might have something to do with how they're risen. In our case we got thrown right into combat with the Fallen, and proved that we were naturals at fighting since we killed the Devils' Archon shortly after waking up. The Vanguard was also more...lively then, and whole. They mentored new Guardians into their new roles as protectors of humanity. That could also be it. There's no Hunter Vanguard to teach new hunters how to BE Hunters...and that's because of... Oh. Hmm. Well -blam!- I got nothin.

 • It’s all good. I think it’s mostly a generational thing in addition to the lazy writing. Early on, I sort of had sympathy for Crow, but his emo whining stopped that. I was excited to meet the Exo Stranger, but she turned out to be just an insecure girl with daddy issues instead of the inter-dimensional badass she seemed at first.

 • Oh don't get me started on the Stranger. She had me going thinking the Vex were the greatest evil in any universe. Turns out she just has a grudge out for them because fee fees. And she advocates using darkness, which to this day makes me want to hit her with the Burning Maul. "Oh you need to embrace the darkness within to truly fight." "***** I've got a Sweet Business with an Actium War Rig, NOW WITH UNLIMITED RESERVES! Take your ice powers and cram 'em." "But..." "WAAAH! CRY SOME MORE!"
