I don’t want freelance and I don’t hate SBMM. I also don’t stomp on anyone. If there is a freelance playlist of trials you will basically have two versions. One that is basically the old Trials with the same people trying to go flawless, and another will just casual PvP players just playing for loot. In the Teams trials version it will be just as sweaty as it used to be and those new teams that went flawless in week 1 and 2 for the first time won’t be able to any more, because the player pool is no longer 75-80% random casual players. And they’ll just stop playing the Teams version of Trials. The result is that while solo players may, and it isn’t guaranteed, have a better time with less stomping, the Teams that normally play trials no longer benefit at all from a larger group of players playing any type of Trials. While I’m not saying the casual and solo players can’t expect to get loot for playing Trials, I think they absolutely should get loot. But I don’t think they should expect to never run into Trials regulars and more skilled players. I think there is an in between solution where everyone benefits and has a reasonably enjoyable time.
