Freelance will kill trials. Splitting the population would kill it instantly.

No it’s not. Stacks face stacks and solos vs solos. If this means Trials is “dead” to you then maybe you don’t like the idea of facing other stacks.
-
Agreed

Splitting the population would kill it instantly.
That’s exactly what needs to happen lol Split the casual solos and the coordinated team sweats…why doesn’t this make sense to anyone? Or better yet - don’t split the community and make trials all solo…
-
😂😂😂😂 that has to be the worst idea I’ve ever seen
-
Freelance will kill trials. Splitting the population would kill it instantly.
LMAO, nonsense. You couldn't even play solo in trials until this season. The people going to the freelance playlist will only draw from the solo players in the main playlist. You are acting like 3 stack teams are going to leave the main playlist to go play freelance. Ridiculous argument.
-
No it won’t. Teams will play teams and solos will play solos. But I get it…y’all 3 stacks don’t wanna play other 3 stacks, am i right? Haha.

Again. The problem with trials before was population. that and horrible sandboxes. -
freelance kill trials? What about paid carries, paid recovs, cheating... what about fireteams backing out of que searching so they can play against solo players instead of fireteams. Freelance will not kill trials but help restore some integrity back into trials.
-
What about paid carries
How does freelance solve this?
paid recovs, cheating
Both bannable offenses now and practically not seen.
... what about fireteams backing out of que searching so they can play against solo players instead of fireteams.
Bungie have already stated they're removing the count
Freelance will not kill trials but help restore some integrity back into trials.
No it will kill the mode by dividing it in half
-
No it will kill the mode by dividing it in half
Nonsense. Players that play in 3 stacks in the main playlist will continue to do so. Nobody used to playing on a team is all the sudden going to leave the main playlist to go play freelance. You couldn't even go into trials solo until this season, so claiming players who move to freelance that didn't even play the mode until this season will somehow kill the main playlist is laughable.
-
You can't have "carries" of any kind if you can't pick your teammates, which is what Freelance queue does.
-
You can't have "carries" of any kind if you can't pick your teammates, which is what Freelance queue does.
But there would still be carries in the team playlist so how does it solve carries?

Once the mm counter is removed so squads cannot back out against solos, the experience will be SO much better. -
Without altering the matchmaking the playlist will run off all the solos and get to the same result. As Bungie said, solo players are the key. They have to do something and fast.
-
the whole 'splitting the player base' argument doesn't stand up to even a cursory view. If Bungie implement freelance and 50% of the current player base leave to take part it still leaves almost 300,000 players. That's more than x3 in original trials lobbies than they had at the end of season 14. Even if only the 'scrub, no thumb, trash, blueberry' players that are so derided in this forum leave to take part in it, that's approx 20% of the player base, leaving approx 550,000 players in 'original' trials. But yeah it'll kill trials. Maybe the really good players should have a bit more faith in each other, at the end of the day us bad players ain't needed anyway.

You cannot reach the mid to high level PVP players -blam!- on stomping low skilled, new lights, and casuals to maintain their identity. I applaud the effort, tho...
Logic rarely defeats addiction.
The solos, duos, and squads all have to be in the same pool. End of story. -
No they dont
