Freelance IB is all i play, if i dont have a team for Iron Banner that is.

maybe for you it did, but for many solo players it didn't. The first time they added "Freelance" I enter (solo) a regular IB and it was with randoms against a full clan, guest what happened. then I enter a "Freelance" one and the match actually ended pretty close. The point of "Freelance" is for people who play alone (no friends, no clans, no whatever) to have a chance too. Besides, it IS an OPTION (which Bungie needs to work more on) and doesn't really affect the regular mode in any way. You can still play regular mode if you want.

Freelance splits the player base too much. I play regular IB solo and still have close games. Freelance for me is horrible with the team balance that happens in the mm.It’s one thing to have personal experience, and it is another thing to understand that freelance factually splits the player base making it more laggy, longer game mm, and unbalanced teams.

you're right, it splits the players, but also add more players to the whole PvP thing that didn't play it because they didn't have friends or clanmates to play in teams with against other teams

That’s how the game mode was introduced. This whole game is about teaming up and playing together. Sure solos should have a place to play, but the place is also meant to team up and make friends. If you don’t that’s ok too, just know that you are hindering yourself by going against the way the game was developed.

Yet bungie is going away from that mindset. They've added freelance to 2 core playlists (comp and iron banner). The player base wasn't divided nor will it be when freelance is added. Stop spewing false claims

Comp was ruined with freelance. This was literally the start of comp decline. There’s a reason there’s nothing to do there now. IB freelance is worse than normal IB right now as a solo player. Please let me know how freelance made any of the modes better

There’s literally nothing selfish about playing freelance IB or any freelance game mode for that matter. People wanna get on the game and play whatever game mode they choose with their friends or without their friends. It’s supremely goofy to say people that like “freelance” are selfish. A player shouldn’t be penalized because all their homies aren’t on when he/she is on. And if I don’t have my friends to play with AND I don’t wanna play against stacked teams and get stomped, I’m not.

It’s childish to complain about game modes not cradling you because you are losing. Crying because you think freelance will make everything better is goofy. Again, you are only thinking about yourself because the game has to revolve around you (friends or no friends). Be a big girl and understand you can’t win every game and ppl are better than you. Practice and get better. Sorry you think everything should be just slightly difficult and all you have to do is strafe a bit 🤷🏿♀️. Completely selfish. There is nothing that freelance promotes that befits all players and game modes

Solo players aren't running into stacked teams. How is that not a good thing?? Or you one of those people who only play on stacked teams and back out when you face another stacked team of your caliber because there's no solo players?? Freelance has done more than you think it has.

I for one played on Fridays and matched who ever I match. Play after flawless until we were done getting what we need. Went to legend in comp solo once and play IB and qp solo most of the time. Please don’t assume just because I’m against it I don’t play solo. I know the risks and don’t want the game to degrade and water down because solo players blame teams on losing. Freelance has never helped destiny in the long term. It’s just a quick fix so the ppl that don’t even like playing it and don’t like playing with friends get their loot and get out. These solo players are the real selfish ones who don’t look at the big picture and only think for themselves

We don't blame teams for loosing. We don't wanna match teams. Solo players shouldn't be matched against a stack team. That isn't fair nor should it be a thing in end game activities. If freelance hasn't been a good thing since they've added it why haven't they taken it out?? Hmm? Dont knock it till you try it.

They literally took it out by removing all the rewards from comp. Freelance comp is dead and solo queuing in comp takes forever to find a match. There’s nothing positive about freelance in this game other than ppls “feelings” not getting hurt losing to duos or a team of three.

The people who play on teams will still continue to do so, so that's a ridiculous claim. You act like people who play in a 3 stack are all the sudden going to drop out of the normal playlist to go into freelance.

The ppl who either look in LFG and fail (they don’t actually make friends and team up, they just LFG and go be alone again) will go into freelance because it’s an easier way to join the mode without putting any effort into it. Destiny players that go against the grain and fail constantly will go into freelance because they think it’s a savior. It won’t be and then they will cry for more changes to cater to them (literally happened to comp and now it’s a wasteland). You just ignore what’s happened to comp and how IB goes to get what you want and kill off pvp modes. Just tell me you won’t stop until the trials is “fair” and makes it easier for you.

People that lfg prove they prefer to play on a team and will continue to do so. Again, solos weren't even able to play trials until this season, so this notion that these same people going freelance is somehow going to be the reason trials fails is totally illogical.

You are essentially taking them away though. How do you not see that. I would rather bungie just make a freelance weekend so everyone goes in solo. The whole notion to open up to solo and duos were to increase population into the pool. Why take that away and segregate it?

Populating the pool makes it healthier as bungie said. Segregating it won’t help in that department. Not sure how simple it has to be that you won’t understand splitting a game mode in two separates (lessens the player pool on the original playlist) is bad for it. There’s no way you can dispute that. You’re just advocating it because it makes it easier for you

And again, the people that play solo weren't regular trials players until this year, so what you're saying makes zero sense whatsoever. The people that played in the main playlist in previous seasons will still be playing in the same playlist even with freelance.
