Week one was almost perfect.
They saw record breaking numbers and decided to ruin everything for some reason.

If it's for hardcore PvPers only, why are they trying to increase the population that plays Trials?

If Bungie is going to pound their chest over how many new players were in trials and how many new people went flawless then clearly their goal is not to cater to the hard core PvP crowd. They want to engage as many players as possible. And TOO has been a joke forever anyway with paid carries and triumphs for carrying to the lighthouse, not to mention the rampant cheating on PC.

It's meant to be a mode that can provide fun to anyone who chooses to participate, from experienced players to newbies (which of course even experienced players once were). It was a sweatfest abomination with lots of flaws that they took serious steps to correct. (Edit in reply to the comment below which I won't be able to see as it will be reported and the guy blocked: endgame is not supposed to be alienating for & from anyone, and certainly not from any group of people who like to see themselves as a silly gatekeeping elite. It's for everyone that would like to participate in it and yes, that includes newbies as well as experienced players. As for what I am & do or not, keep assumptions entirely to yourself.)

No it’s not for beginners to come in and go flawless. Is hard mode VOG for beginners? Is farming GMs for adapt weapons for beginners? No it’s end game PvE content. Control, mayhem even comp is for beginners. That’s the steps leading up to the end game PvP content which is trials. You just want all the loot for none of the work. If that makes me an elitist then it makes you an entitled bum. A bum looking for hand outs without the hard work. I started playing trials 2 months before the new update. When it was at it dryest and hardest. Matching sweats after sweats and I’m playing it wit RL mates too. We would go weeks without going flawless. That’s the point of end game PvP. Not so “beginners” can come in and get the prestige that comes with going flawless. Your saying that all the hard work that hardcore PvPers have done in the past is null in void. Just makes you a selfish bum who thinks they are entitled to the rewards trails offers. Grow a pair and stop crying.

That’s how trials was before the new update. You worked for every game on that card. And if you were unlucky enough to come across a bunch of sweats running stacked, you took that L and held X on your card and reset. I would go weeks without going flawless, but that’s part of the mode. Made it that much sweeter when you finally got to that lighthouse. Now dudes with 0.5 KDs are going flawless 6 times a week. That’s not trials. That’s a slap in the face for all the guys that would spend their whole weekend tryna go flawless. Playing sweat after sweat to grind to the lighthouse. That’s real trials

Show me the data supporting that bs statement. There are not gobs of people solo queueing to flawless. For frick sake, solos only win 1/4 games they play if that. Out of touch statement…🤦♂️
