Contacting Destiny 2 Servers (Error Code: Weasel) & Etc...

Hello to all those that are reading this (and hopefully a bungie rep), I have this constant issue after replacing my router and modem, to avoid paying rental/service fees, where I would disconnect from whatever I'm doing inside Destiny 2. The "Contacting Destiny 2 Server" message will randomly occur at anytime. There's no specific patterns or time trends within the day that I could see. It could happen within a moment of me signing in or a couple of hours playing Destiny 2 before I get DC'ed. Where the frustration comes in is at the crucial point in a PVP/trials match or Raid boss final damage and I immediately get removed to the title screen with the error message. Of course, my initial thought was that it may be my new equipment. I've unplugged and power cycled my modem and router and reset numerous times to no avail. I consulted Bungie's help forum and read many community posts relating to my issue, but none of the troubleshooting steps that were taken in those community forums remedied my constant issue (i.e. uninstall/reinstall D2, verify game integrity files, NAT/UPnP port config, Driver updates, WinOS updates, restarting PC, BIOs update, etc...). I've contacted my ISP (Spectrum) and had technicians come replace all cables and test the signal strength which all passed green for solid connection to the ISP. I even returned and replaced the router and modem again to see if it was faulty and may have been a manufacture defect. Still, the issue persists. I'm unable to the enjoy the game now and constantly worry if I will get DC'ed again when I'm playing something with friends or clan mates. My only other assessment is maybe something bungie can identify or look into my account as to why this is a constant battle. If anyone or a bungie rep has remedy to this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. • Same for me, started when Season of the Lost dropped. I am constantly getting the Connecting to Destiny Servers message and sometimes it kicks me out of the activity, sometimes it reconnects. But yes, not being able to reliably play comp or trials is very frustrating.

  • I've been having the same problems too. It's ridiculous and the only thing bungie will do is link you to their troubleshooting steps which don't do anything. Hope you find a solution. Let me know if you do lmao

  • Bungie will never acknowledge an issue with their network. There are dozens of posts here every week about the same thing and they fall on deaf ears. I hope you can get your issue resolved, but it won't be through Bungie
