As soon as a full Freelance mode comes out it'll be perfect for me. Until then, it's certainly nice to actually earn some Trials gear, but hell, playing Gambit against stacks is less infuriating.

  • Would 100% recommend that you get a team together to go flawless. Solo is good for bounties and the round win rewards but not great for trying to go flawless

  • I never intended to go for Flawless. But a Freelance playlist will be good. For me and my sanity. Screw playing stacked teams.

  • Then doesn’t it not matter if you win or lose? Since you just need round wins to progress the bounties and non-flawless loot

  • Losing to people on my level is different than getting 0-5'd by a team with adept gear.

  • Just watch your mindset, if you go in for flawless, don't be surprised if you get mad.

  • Oh, as someone who never even tried Trials before (in D2) I'm honestly calling this a net positive. I had heard plenty of tales about it being a sweat fest where twitchy reflexes and optimal loadouts are half the game (the other half being tight communication), but in most cases me and two randoms could at least win a round or two even when we lost. I suppose I went in expecting either the worst experience of my PvP career, or a miraculous absence of toxic behavior because this was the "New Trials". Neither turned out to be reality, both to my relief, and my disappointment. TL;DR: I didn't go in expecting to even win five matches, but after slogging through and getting seven wins on my card, I feel oddly fulfilled, but mostly sore and tired. Definitely not the nightmare I expected, but certainly more draining than I had expected.
