It works by doing 3 strikes each week and getting the pinnacle drop. Then once at max pinnacle, never play another strike for the rest of the season.

If you want to go for the Vanguard weapon ornament for the Ascendancy rocket launcher, you need to reset Vanguard rank twice. That means 20,000 Vanguard points. The math that you can make from there on out does not look very appetizing.

Tbf twice is for the weapon ornament, you only need rank 16 on any core activity to get the ritual weapon
