I’d like it to get a complete rework… No! I’m not salty that I don’t have it. No! I’m not saying that it’s OP. I would like it reworked because I’m tired of all the 1 hit kill weapons.

  • You said buff all primaries though, but that is just being very picky at what you said. What happens to bows if you choose to buff hand cannons or scout rifles. Bows are inherently a two shot weapon with hand cannons and scouts being the same, what is its purpose then?

    Yes it is being very picky. I'm making a generalization....while you are picking out the most problematic weapon class in the entire game. Since any sort of buff would take it into a the realm of being a OHK primary....with infinite ammo....which would be game-breaking for PVP. But the fact that bows are a special, edge case doesn't invalidate the truth of what I said for the rest of the CONVENTIONAL primary armory (so don't go to primary grenade launchers next).

  • It’s a tricky problem and buffing primaries to kill faster would invalidate the entire purpose of a bow archetype in pvp if hand cannons or even scouts can kill with one less shot. Remember when 120s could and still can potentially two tap. Change that to 140s and make it constant without damage buffs.

  • its only a "tricky" problem if Bungie's networking schema is such that trying to get TTK down to about 0.6 seconds accross the board creates lag problems. Otherwise its an ideological problem, and a stubborn refusal to recognize that the current tuning makes it IMPOSSIBLE to balance primary weapons vs secondary weapons. Because anyone with OHK weapon can DOMINATE a distance equal to the EFFECTIVE range of their weapon...PLUS whatever distance they can cover in the TTK of the primary weapon in the hands of their target. So by the time you factor in overshields, augmented mobility like slide/blink/ID/cryoclasm, plus specialized base mobility like Titan skating and warlock surfing? You can wind up with a shotgunner who basically has the advantage all the way out to the back part of hand cannon range against anyone who dares to stand their ground and fight. Quite simply Bungie will NEVER fix this problem by nerfing special weapons....their ammo....slowing down mobility. All you're doing is putting a band-aid on a game design cancer.

  • At least snipers and linear fusion rifles somewhat make sense for 1 hit headshots. Shotguns were supposed to be 2 shot kills at the start of this season.
