Lol a big RNG, i have done now 6 hours the lost sector and only 2 frostee en a friend does 3 runs and he get the new exotics.

Previously any exotics you didn't have from that armor slot were garunteed on your first exotic. I've gotten Star Eaters, Lucky pants, and frosteez without the dance machines. This wasn't in any of the patch notes

It is weighted to give you the newer exotics, It was this way in Beyond light. It even said so in some of the tooltips relating to it as some point.

They were never guaranteed before, the RNG was/is strongly biased toward new Exotics but you could get duplicates. I did and so did my significant other when farming for these since BL. I think I got two dupes before I finally unlocked Dawn Chorus, across a ridiculous number of runs (like... 50+ overall).

I was fairly sure that a bunch of content creators were saying the new ones have been guaranteed since BL started.

They're wrong. Or they just got lucky and incorrectly extrapolate to their audience. It's heavily biased but not guaranteed. I've directly seen at least 3 dupes (when I was going for Dawn Chorus, when my SO was going for Necrotic Grips, and when I was going for Mantle of Battle Harmony).

Thanks for being the only person to actually take the time and explain. I was also apparently lucky with all the previous exotics because RDMs was the first one I didn't get from my first drop.

Lost sectors were guaranteed to drop the new exotics, on the first exotic you got. I don't know what you aren't understanding but you are blatantly incorrect.

Like pkmn said, lost sectors don't follow engram rules.

You and PKMN are both not understanding. I am not talking about engrams, have nothing to do with the lost sector exotics. I have been running the 1320, and it will not drop the Radiant dance machines, it is only dropping exotics I have already acquired.

As someone stated above, "RNG". I had the same trouble with star eaters last season. I got 2 orpheas rigs before they dropped.
