Destiny 2 Lighting and Effect Style

I have been playing a lot of the first Destiny game a lot, and have noticed some major style changes between it and Destiny 2. Things don’t really pop in D2. In trying to look more realistic, the bright, unique, very sci-fi style that Destiny had has been lost. Servitors don’t glow with ether anymore. Hive parts and architecture do not glow and don’t invoke that fear or mystery they had in D1. Explosions aren’t as vibrant. Lights do not add glares or light up dust on your helmet, and instead just have an aura of bright fog around them. Objects that are supposed to glow like Hive eyes, Vex milk and eyes, explosions, and shots fired also produce nowhere near as much light as you'd expect them to. It just looks like another dull shooter game. Another thing I noticed is the lighting. Light sometimes comes from... nowhere. And when it comes from something, it lands all around an object, not just where it should land. That makes it so everything's super bright, and dulls the already dull effects. I don't really know where I was going with this. I just wanted to voice my opinion on this topic. The only thing Destiny 2 shares with the original game is gameplay and story, and even then, sometimes I wonder. NOTE: I have added a compilation of comparison images. Click on the Imgur link to view them. I will be adding more later.
