Negative Silver Balance and slowly trickling further into negatives
On August 8th, 2021, Eververse stock refreshed. One item was offered that I did not own: "Let Me Investigate" Exotic Emote. Oddly, I thought I already owned this, but seeing as how it didn't appear in my extensive list of owned emotes, I thought nothing of it and spent 3,250 Bright Dust to purchase it and thought nothing further of it. I cannot recall my Silver balance at this time. I shut down my console for a few hours and returned later. At some point, my game was kicked to the main menu following idling. Upon loading back in, I noticed something different on my currencies bar as I was going to collect a bounty. A red triangle with an exclamation point in it and a negative Silver Balance. This was a complete surprise and I quickly looked at the help article on Bungie.net. It suggested waiting (did nothing), as well as signing out of Destiny and back in. At the time, the balance was -1800 Silver. Upon rebooting and checking, I now have -2900 Silver. And to test my hypothesis, once more I quit Destiny and restarted it and my balance is currently 1600 Silver (which I think may be the correct amount) but upon switching characters my Silver is currently -2900 and continues to fluctuate (currently, 389,400!). The help article indicated that a negative balance comes from a chargeback but not only have I never charged back, I haven't purchased Silver in over a month. Please find attached screenshots of my game state. It appears this is an issue impacting multiple players.
