I recently got D2 on PC, and was enjoying it for a while. Then, I began experiencing an issue where the game would freeze seemingly at random, and not just the game. It would freeze and crash my entire system. Most of the time it shuts off on its own, but there have been times where it is just permanently stuck on, I can't move my mouse, can't CTRL+ALT+DEL, or anything at all. In the last couple days, I noticed that it seems to happen when I click over to my other monitor to do something, be it check my email, set up a new YouTube video to watch while I'm playing, or even use the Destiny Item Manager (one of the major reasons I got a second monitor, so that I could use the app while playing for maximum efficiency). It's not every time that I click off screen. It just happens at seemingly random times. Even then, it has happened when I haven't even clicked off the screen, so I'm not even sure if that's the issue. I've tried every single fix I could find, be it on YouTube, Reddit posts, other Bungie forum posts, even via asking for help in the PC LFG server I'm in on Discord. Nothing has helped at all. It's been an issue for nearly 2 weeks, and I didn't want to post about it, but I'm at the point where I don't know what to do. If anyone has any way to potentially help, I would be beyond grateful. Edit: I learned that it wasn’t an issue with my second monitor, as I disconnected it and set my display to only one and it still had the issue, except this time it crashed so hard that the computer itself wouldn’t be able to turn back on without crashing, and is currently undergoing a complete factory reset. I will be contacting the company I bought the computer from in case this is an issue with the hardware, but I would still appreciate any response at all trying to help me figure out what’s going on. All I want is to play this game without fear that my computer is broken. Please.
