Agreed. Patrols are only useful for let's say tangled shore. Solely on the grounds you can earn material to trade for WANTED: bounties. Which do reward reasonable lumps of glimmer and an enhancement core. But considering that one core is pretty worthless for the time taken then even that struggles to have purpose.
