I did a D1 public event yesterday and it was more rewarding than D2 because it actually gave me legendaries for completing it to the best of my ability.
That’s a huge difference compared to D2 where you get more planetary resources and blues for completing it on heroic, regardless of level.

Yeah D1 gives you a legendary engram for your first public event completion everyday :)
