Kaize ran. He ran and he thought, not of where to hide or how to get away, but about the last life he'd taken. You can argue, he's killed scorned, hive, cabal, and eliksni, he's even done damage to Oryx's hell progeny. But he wasn't looking for those. His last kill, his last true kill was his only regret and a hazy exo reset or two had pushed it out of his head. "I CAN FEEL YOUR LIGHT! I KNOW YOU'RE CLOSE!" Svana, a former guardian who got a little too close to the darkness, was creeping around the base of a natural pillar of stone. From the top of this pillar, Kaize was taking inventory of his knives. "15?!" Kaize whispered into his helmet. He destroyed the com link array in his helmet after he gave away his own position...twice."I only have 15 knives to deal with her?" Kaize unholstered his gun, he never liked guns, no talent for him. He'd rather bounce a knife off of 3 walls and hit someone than just pull a trigger. But this was different. "15 knives, 10 fatebringer shots. I got this..right?" He asked his ghost. Before there could be an answer however, the air got frigid and a blast of ice shattered in front of him. The shards of ice circled and gathered into a single point 3 feet from the ground. Kaize was knocked off the pillar by a sentry turret of solid ice, as he fell to the ground he heard footsteps from the far side coming in hot. "You don't have the light, and I don't want to kill you..." the footsteps growing louder and not slowing "please Svana, don't make me do this." The sound of air being displaced was clear as day everything else stayed still. "Fine." Kaize sprinted and slid toward the column of rock and threw 4 knives into the air behind him. "BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT!" The warlock came materialized out of her blink as a knife was sinking into her leg. She landed hard on her stomach, and wretched, as she ripped the dagger out of her leg and froze the wound shut. "That looks bad LAY DOWN FOR A WHILE" Kaize rolled towards cover launching 5 more knives towards her to keep distance between them. He used one knife to peek around the corner to see how far she was from him but it was shot out of his hand along with two fingers. "Well time for my next banger." He mumbled as he fumbled with the few detonators he had. He could hear her coming closer again and decided 4 would have to do. He sent the knives careening and waited. Silence followed for what seemed to be an eternity in itself, until a single shot was chambered, and aimed for Kaize. "Was that supposed to hit me?"
